Kill VM stuck on ESX server
Problem:
A virtual machine is stuck, can't be powered on/off or reset
 
Solution:
# vm-support -x

Available worlds to debug:

vmid=1079 ADM-DC02
vmid=1080 ADM-WWW
vmid=1094 ADS-DC02
vmid=1102 ADM-EP03

Replace with vmid, e.g..

# vm-support -X 1222

VMware ESX Server Support Script 1.29

Can I include a screenshot of the VM 1222? [y/n]: n
Can I send an NMI (non-maskable interrupt) to the VM 1222? This might crash the VM, but could aid in debugging [y/n]: n
Can I send an ABORT to the VM 1222? This will crash the VM, but could aid in debugging [y/n]: y


The process takes 5-10 minutes depending on ESX load.
