X: Xlib connection to () refused
Problem:
When trying to run an X program on a console-only client against a remote X server, all sorts of weird errors occur, indicating that the server is refusing connections and DISPLAY is incorrectly set. Checking the DISPLAY setting and firewall solves nothing.
 
Solution:
Make sure "xauth" is installed on the client
