Linux: How to edit running services from the command line?
Problem:
Most linux distributions come with an editor that lets the user switch system services on and off. When working on different distributions however, it can be difficult to remember what this editor is called.

Solution:
Fedora Core and CentOS and other Red Hat based distros:
ntsysv

Ubuntu and other Debian based distros:
sysvconfig (Don't forget to select 'Finished')

Novell/SuSE:
yast (System | System services)
