AMANDA dump fails for clients running SuSE Linux
Problem:
amcheck reports no problems, but amdump consistently fails to dump partitions on clients running SuSE Linux.

Solution:
The programs "dump" and "restore" only work on ext2/ext3 filesystems. By default, SuSE Linux uses reiserfs, which require the use of GNUTAR for backup with AMANDA.
