Setting up time synchronization between Netware servers, choosing server types
Problem:
Setting up time synchronization between Netware servers can be a major pain in the butt, mainly because of Novell's complete inability to see that this is not as simple as it sounds. The eternal questions are: What are all those time server types good for, and which ones should I use?

Solution:
Single - Secondary models are good for small networks (30 servers or less).

Reference - Primary - Secondary models are suitable for larger networks, and for networks that span geographical separate regions.

When making changes, deal with the single/reference servers first, then the primary/secondary ones. Always remember to "Write Parameters" and then "Restart Flag" in order for your changes to take effect.
