How to install SDL-perl for ActivePerl using PPM?
Problem:
The 3D library SDL can not be found in the standard PPD repositories listed in the default installation of ActivePerl. Manually checking http://ppm.activestate.com reveals the reason; ActiveState failed to build the latest version.
 
Solution:
ppm> install http://www.broadwell.org/dl/ppm/5.8/win32/SDL_perl.ppd
