Driver for Canon Multipass C50 under WinNT/2K or XP
Problem: Drivers for this printer are available for Win95/98 and ME only.
Solution: According to Canon helpdesk, here's how to get the unit working as a printer only: 1. Connect the C50 to the PC 2. Install it using the Canon BJC-4200 driver 3. On the printer, do the following: * Press "`function`" * Press "`0`" * Press "`>`" (display now shows "`#4 DOS PRINTING`") * Press "`Start`" (display now shows "`ON`") * Press "`Start`" again (display now shows "`Printer mode`") 4. The unit is now in printer mode. To cancel printer mode: * Press "`function`" * Press "`0`" * Press "`>`" (display now shows "`#4 DOS PRINTING`") * Press "`Start`" (display now shows "`ON`") * Press "`>`" until the display shows "`OFF`" * Press "`Start`" again to put the unit in normal mode. Fax and scanner mode will not work under NT4, Win2K or WinXP.
